Pottery

The clay used in all of Joe’s work comes from the Ohio Valley region and is a durable stoneware. He throws, custom-tools, fires and glazes all of his pieces in his studio in Grafton, Ohio.

All glaze is lead-free. All pieces are dishwasher safe (unless otherwise noted). Because most of the pieces are custom made to your specifications, it takes a few weeks to get the final piece. Please be sure to order with enough lead time for production and delivery – usually 3-4 weeks unless otherwise noted.

Handmade, wheel-thrown berry bowls that are also useful as a strainer or colander. Each bowl is created with a unique pattern of strainer holes and has handles on the sides making it easier to flip or shake when removing excess water.

Available in four colors: turquoise/white, cobalt blue/white, Italian straw tan/white, light maroon/white.

Handmade, wheel-thrown orchid pot with unique, hand-tooled design to let the roots breathe and prevent root rot. Each planter is created with a unique pattern.  The plate is attached to the planter to catch excess water.

Available in four colors: turquoise/white, cobalt blue/white, Italian straw tan/white, light maroon/white.

This unique advent wreath will be a beautiful centerpiece on your dining table, or a unique piece of decor throughout the Advent season. This can be customized with the family name or other symbols of the season. Ribbons included as seen in the photo. Fits standard-sized taper candles. Candles are not included.

Requires a 4-5 week lead time because they are made to order.

This beautiful 12” wide plate is customized with the family name to make a beautiful, hand-crafted gift that’s perfect for weddings, anniversaries, or a holiday gift for the family that seems to have everything. The plate is hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel by Joe and fired in his studio after artfully adding the family name in the colors of your choosing.

This custom-made, hand-thrown blessing cup is a beautiful keepsake gift for those making their first communion or confirmation. It can also be a beautiful wedding gift used in the service. Each cup is created with a custom engraving underneath for the recipient. Message Joe to talk about any details you would like to see such as a cross, dove, or angel symbol added to the side.

Lead-free glaze, food-safe, dishwasher safe.

Each one-of-a-kind, handmade hanging ceramic candle lantern casts beautiful shadows on nearby walls. The lantern is approximately 18” tall, made from several wheel-thrown pieces that are combined together. Next, a custom pattern is tooled out of the semi-dry clay. After the first firing, the glaze colors you prefer will be applied before a final firing. Afterward the artist strings the jute cord used for hanging the candle lantern so that it’s ready to be hung when you receive it. Can be used indoors or outdoors. We recommend you use a votive candle or small pillar candle. Candles are not included.

Dishwasher Safe after removing the hanging cords.

This wheel-thrown ceramic jar is perfect for holding many utensils or to use as a one of a kind vase. The flared rim makes it easy to slide the utensils in and out. You can message Joe to talk more about the color combination you’d like. This can be done in a single color or duo color as seen in the images.

Colors available: White, turquoise, cobalt blue, rose, Italian straw (tan), brown.
